ISRO

The Indian Space Research Organisation  is the space agency of the Government of India headquartered in the city of Bengaluru.Formed in 1969, ISRO superseded the erstwhile Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) established in 1962 by the efforts of independent India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, and his close aide and scientist Vikram Sarabhai
ISRO built India's first satelliteAryabhata, which was launched by the Soviet Union on 19 April 1975.
In 1980, Rohini became the first satellite to be placed in orbit by an Indian-made launch vehicle, SLV-3. ISRO subsequently developed two other rockets: the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) for launching satellites into polar orbits and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) for placing satellites into geostationary orbits.

ISRO sent one lunar orbiter, Chandrayaan-1, on 22 October 2008.Mars Orbiter Mission, which successfully entered Mars orbit on 24 September 2014, making India the first nation to succeed on its first attempt, and ISRO the fourth space agency in the world as well as the first space agency in Asia to successfully reach Mars orbit.
On 18 June 2016 ISRO successfully set a record with a launch of 20 satellites in a single payload, one being a satellite from Google.
On 15 February 2017, ISRO launched 104 satellites in a single rocket (PSLV-C37) and created a world record. The most interesting part about this mission was that India launched satellites for RUSSIA , who launched INDIA's first satellite.

ISRO VS NASA

ISRO is way too smaller in terms of  money, advanced technology, staff and many other factors than NASA. I guess we all know this fact but why is NASA big have you ever thought boy that?
Well  it's simple, it is because of 70% of the NASA staff is Asian ans among those most of them are Indians.
ISRO is catching very fast and will surely beat NASA in the near future.
Today ISRO is a big name as that is NASA.

FUTURE PLANS:

Isro chairman Kiran Kumar said, "We will launch three communication satellites. GSAT-19 in June and GSAT-11 and GSAT-20 thereafter. GSAT-19 will be launched by GSLVMk III, Isro's next-generation launch vehicle boosted by an indigenous cryogenic engine that is capable of carrying a four-tonne satellite to the geosynchronous transfer orbit. These satellites will use multiple spot beams (a special kind of transponder that operates on a high frequency) that will increase internet speed and connectivity. These multiple spot beams will cover the entire country."

EXPECTATIONS:

Well just want ISRO to prosper and more and more scientist should come join ISRO. It should be sufficient enough so that Indian's stop joining NASA. More funds should be allocated to ISRO's development missions and research programs along with manned missions too.
